Cooper, Barton & Cooper is very proud to announce that Attorney M. Devlin Cooper has been elected to serve as the Secretary/Treasurer of the State Bar of Georgia Eminent Domain Section. As such, Devlin will play a key role in assisting both eminent domain attorneys and the public as they navigate this particularly complex branch of the law.
The State Bar of Georgia sections are comprised of some of the state's most distinguished and experienced practitioners. From the State Bar of Georgia website: "The Eminent Domain Section serves to promote education relating to the law of eminent domain in the State of Georgia within the Section, the legal community, and the public."
As Secretary/Treasurer, Devlin will contribute to the section's newsletter and the planning of its Continuing Legal Education (CLE) events, as well as help monitor new legislation that could affect Georgia's eminent domain laws.
Devlin has long been a resource for the Georgia legal community. He has numerous times been asked to lecture on legal topics, including for the National Business Institute, the GDOT Special Assistant Attorney General Seminar, and the Seminar Group, among others.
We congratulate Devlin on this latest leadership role in our local legal community and know that the State Bar of Georgia Eminent Domain Section will only benefit from his knowledge and insight over the next year.
