The Macon law firm formally known as “Cooper, Draughon & Cooper” has been renamed “Cooper, Barton & Cooper” after Ken Barton was promoted to a named Partner.
Once known throughout Macon and the rest of Georgia as Cooper, Draughon & Cooper, the law firm has recently changed its name to Cooper, Barton & Cooper.
The change was implemented after Attorney Ken Barton was promoted to a named Partner of the law firm. The firm is proud to announce Kenneth E. Barton III was elected as partner in August of 2018.
Ken is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he acted as a student attorney for the District of Columbia Bar and also served on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association. He received his B.A. in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude and Honors from Hampton University some years prior. To name only a few of his professional association memberships, Attorney Barton is part of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, the American Bar Association, and The William A. Bootle American Inn of Court.
The law firm was founded in 2016 by Devlin Cooper, Ken Barton, and Ashley Cooper. In only a few short years, the law firm has been able to grow to five attorneys, numerous paralegals, and a comprehensive support staff. The law firm now occupys a 10,000 square foot office space located at 170 College Street in Macon, Georgia.
